The Ivey Adjustable Scope Mount system provides elevation adjustment by hinging the scope rings with the scope itself forward to allow a rising bullet path from the bore. The rings have pinning connections to sub-bases that in turn directly bolt to a rifle's mounting rail. The front ring and front sub-base are precision pinned allowing natural rotation about the front set while the rear ring is guided up and down along an arcing slot by a graduated dial marked in MOA (true minute-of-angle). For changing settings, a locking cam knob on the right side of the rear ring is loosened, adjustment made, then re-tightened to lock the ring firmly in place and ward against any movement from recoil.

Shown above is approximate drop for a 50BMG 750gr Hornady AMAX at 2700fps muzzle ("Sierra Infinity" bullet path data referenced). The adjustable scope mount system provides the means to make large increases in the elevation of the rifle bore relative to the scope line of sight to compensate for this extreme bullet drop, as much as 400 feet at 3000m which would equate to up to 150 minute-of-angle (MOA).
